All Day Shopping Adventure

The hubby and I went on a little shopping trip the other day. I had an appointment in Birmingham which is a 3 hour drive from our house. While we were there we decided to go shopping. Birmingham has several stores that Florence doesn't have. Florence is pretty much limited to Belk, JC Penny, Dillards, Gap, and Maurices. Not a lot of options. I wanted to wear something comfortable yet still look somewhat put together. This off the shoulder vibrant pink sweater is super comfortable and the color instantly puts me in the best mood. I really love my distress skinny jeans as well and of course flat boots are a must with all the walking around we were going to do. As for the brown bag and black boots?? I hardly ever change my handbag... It tires me just thinking about doing it!

Do you change your handbag daily to go with your outfit?

Trick or Treat!

So I know this is a little late. It seems like Halloween was ages ago, but I couldn't resist showing off my cute little monkey! Isn't he adorable? This is what I wore to go trick-or-treating. I slipped on some red skinny jeans and black flat boots and off we went!

Marionberry Style Boot Challenge

This is the first time I have entered into this challenge, but who can resist finding new ways to wear a beloved pair of boots? These boots are really old, but they are my favorite pair by far. I was feeling in a romantic mood this morning - weird being that today is Halloween - so I went with a softer colors. A pale pink pair of skinnies, light blue jean shirt, and this warm cognac shade of boots. I really like it!! How do you think I did with the challenge. To see more challengers and how they styled thier boots visit Marionberry Style.  Also linking up with The Pleated Poppy!

All About Fall

Today is all about Fall. The leaves are turning colors making my drive home beautiful – one of the perks about living in the country! Today I wanted to bring a little of that same warmth into my outfit. What better way to do that than to pair two of the hottest colors this season – Burgundy and Mustard. While searching for the perfect pair of shoes to pair with this, I stumbled across these beauties in my closet. I have had them for a few years and they are the perfect complement to the skirt. Of course I jumped at the chance to incorporate mustard into look today since it is quickly becoming one of my go to colors this season. I originally thought mustard could be paired with just about anything but after putting this look together I have changed my mind. While I think it goes nicely with the burgundy skirt, I do suggest being careful when pairing it with red tones. You could end up looking like you belong on a hotdog rather than walking around.  J How will you be incorporating fall colors into your wardrobe?

Aren't they the perfect shade??

Thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully you love reading my blog as much as I love writing it! If so make sure to follow me to help me reach my goal!

Feeling Girly

For some reason today I am in a very girly mood (completely out of the ordinary for me). I even woke up this morning and curled my hair – somewhat curled it anyway. I always start out with good intentions and then get bored before I even get halfway done. So I decided to curl select pieces and go for a wavy look. This skirt (which I got a JC Penny for $5 – yes that’s $5 not missing any digits!) was the inspiration for my look. I really like the pink tweed look and wanted it to be the star of the outfit. I paired it with a simple cream blouse and taupe pumps with ruffle details.

On a side note – I have been thinking about doing some “themed” days to help bring out the creativity in all of us and help us find different uses for items in our current wardrobe. I thought it would be cool if several other blogs could join in! Just for instance – we could do a decade theme – 60s, 70s, 80s, etc.. Maybe once a month? Any who..,.. let me know what you think!!  Make sure you follow my blog so you can make sure you don’t miss the action and can join in!!

Pumpkin Picking

Today we took Peyton to the pumpkin patch. I wore some riding boots with one of my favorite summer dresses. I am looking for a mustard cardigan to pair with it! It took us a long time to find the perfect pumpkin for an upcoming project! Hope everyone has a great day!
